A service for those who live, study, work or are visiting Venice: local, national and international newspapers in Arabic, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian and Spanish in a comfortable room of the historic Library. In its sixteenth century palace home, the Fondazione hosts a Museum with over 400 paintings dating from the fourteenth to the twentieth centuries amongst which are works by Giovanni Bellini, Palma il Giovane and Palma il Vecchio, Giambattista Tiepolo and Pietro Longhi. Chamber music concerts are held in the palace at the weekends. Carlo Scarpa’s restoration of the ground floor and delightful garden are not to be missed. The elegant bookshop and welcoming restaurant perfect a visit to this extraordinary Foundation where historic rooms meet contemporary spaces offering a stimulating setting for study, visits to temporary exhibitions and various events.
